We are looking for 5 teachers, teaching PSHE to Year 5, Year 6, Year 7 or Year 8 pupils to try out a new, curriculum linked period education programme and help us find out what impact it’s having on pupils who take part.

What is this education programme about?

This education programme has been created for teachers of 8-12 year olds to encourage open, respectful and honest conversations about periods. The resources are suitable for PSHE lessons, and are fully accredited by the PSHE Association’s Quality Assurance Mark and have been created with education experts and young people, to empower teachers to deliver sessions with confidence. They are film-led, with a mix of animations, quizzes and interactive activities.

What will taking part involve and what will I be offered for my time?

This will involve:

  • Using the programme in your PSHE lesson between 24 April-5 May: the programme is comprised of 2 x 45 minute lessons or 1 x 90 minute lesson, and distributing student follow up materials; parent letters are also provided
  • Administering two short surveys with your pupils: one before you use the resources in class and one after you use the resources - to be sent back to us by 17 May
  • Being open to talk to us about your experiences of the programme

We are offering £100 as a thank you for your time.

If you are interested in taking part, please tell us a bit more about you and your school by filling out this survey here: https://goo.gl/forms/iGZJakKa6j7ezdgT2  by 16th March.
