Get set to make a difference within your community!

Get Set for Community Action is a brand new programme, brought to you by Get Set, the youth engagement platform from Team GB and ParalympicsGB, made possible thanks to the Big Lottery Fund. It aims to strengthen relationships between young people and their local communities through the Olympic Values (friendship, excellence and respect) and the Paralympic Values (courage, determination, equality and inspiration).

Thousands of 14-19 year olds – ‘Action Leads’ – will work in teams across the UK, building relationships with local community groups to plan and deliver at least two projects each, in the run-up to the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Between now and 16th October, you can also apply to be a Champion School – a fantastic opportunity to act as champions of good practice and inspire other schools to take part!

For more details and to register your school, go to https://getsetaction.org.uk/ and be part of this exciting programme, ahead of the big launch in November! You can also follow us on Twitter @GetSetAction for all the latest updates.
